How to Participate

Participation in the Morse Institute Library’s Veterans Oral History Project is specifically for Massachusetts veterans, both men and women, who have served in the Armed Forces. All interviews are done at the library, which is in Natick, Massachusetts.  In addition, interviews are recorded for those who helped on the home front during World War II (e.g.: border or light patrollers, factory workers).

Interviews are taped in a comfortable study room at the library.  Each interview lasts approximately one hour.  The interviews are copied and catalogued.  An original DVD is archived.  The second DVD is catalogued and available to the public.  The third DVD is given to the veteran for his/her personal use.

Questions for the interview may be obtained prior to the interview, along with a release form (which gives permission to Morse Institute Library and Natick Pegasus to use the recordings for educational purposes) and a personal information form (which asks for branch of service, years, stations, and commendations).  The forms and questions can be downloaded from this website.
