The Morse Institute Library holds a number of programs year round of interest to veterans, their families as well as the general public. These programs range from presentations by the MA Department of Veterans' Services, contributions of women veterans, and history and music. The Weston MA Military History Group also holds programs year round at the Weston Public Library. These programs include author presentations and history programs such as the Flying Tigers of China and the Invasion of Normandy.

Here are the current veterans' events:

Memorial Day is commemorated by placing olive wreaths and flags at the veterans' squares, memorials, monuments and graves. On Memorial Day itself, there is a parade and a program at the Morse Institute Library at 14 East Central Street, Natick Center.

On Veterans Day, there is a parade, followed by a brief salute at the Veterans' Arcade at the Morse Institute Library. In case of inclement weather, the program would be held in the Lebowitz Meeting Hall in the Libraryl.

Veterans' Day Breakfast at the Middle Schools is frequently held several days before Veterans' Day. This educational event is organized to honor Natick veterans and to educate the town's youth on the history and efforts made by all veterans.

Pearl Harbor Day (December 7) is honored with a salute, memorial prayer, and a program at the Morse Institute Library. This program takes place in the early evening.

The Natick Fire Department frequently holds events in honor of veterans and their families.

All memorial ceremonies are free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to come. In case of inclement weather, programs are held in the Lebowitz Meeting Hall at the Morse Institute Library. Times of the ceremonies may vary from year to year and to locate the time and details of the event you are interested in please contact the Veterans' Office at 508-647-6545 or the Town of Natick web site at www.natickma.org.
